I've always been drawn to things made with care - things that took vision and skill to bring into the world. A classic car is'nt just metal and paint. A vintage motorbike is'nt just an engine. An old house with weathered walls is'nt just a building. The're all evidence that someone, somewhere, made something remarkable.

I'm Franco Hanekom, and this is what I celebrate through my art. Working in watercolour, ink and digital media, I try to capture not just what these things look like, but what they feel like - the beauty of design, the weight of history, something built to last.
